Mindful Youth Work:
Cultivating Well-Being in Yourself and Others

Training Course

“Midful Youth Work:

Cultivating Well-Being in Yourself and Others”

for youth workers, peace activists, leaders, and volunteers

We invited participants to stop for a moment and dedicate time to their capacity and well-being as youth workers, leaders, peace activists, and volunteers.

During the training course, participants engaged in various activities to:

– expand their knowledge about well-being and learn techniques to enhance it in themselves and those around them.
– acquire practical tools for better understanding and regulating their own emotions.
– develop and refine their social intelligence.
– improve their communication skills using nonviolent communication (nvc) techniques, practicing the steps for greater connection with others.
– gain the ability to plan and implement inclusive educational activities in diverse environments.
– exchange ideas, best practices, and resources, and find inspiration.
– plan follow-up actions to be carried out in their local communities after the course completion.

For whom was the TC?

Our course participants were youth workers, peace activists, leaders, coordinators, and volunteers with an interest in the topic of nonviolent and effective collaboration with others and its applications in their work within non-governmental organisations and with young people.

The most important factor for us was their motivation and willingness to explore, learn, and apply the ideas in their daily professional work.

Certificate

Participants were awarded a training completion certificate, issued by SCI Poland, and additionally received a Youthpass certificate.

Participants’ testimonials

I am truly grateful for the friendships I’ve formed with the participants in the training. I feel blessed I had the opportunity to be part of the project and to learn so much about myself and others. I will definitely remember my experience from Poznan and I am eagerly anticipating the next project.

Denitsa, Bulgaria

I love the experience. It allowed me to explore myself in a different level that I’m available to do in my daily life. It was an introspection and obviously the fact that I’m with different people, from different backgrounds than my friends and family allowed me to go further in my spiritual and emotional side.

Gonçalo, Portugal

Meeting people from different parts of the world and learning about their experiences added so much depth to our discussions particularly on well-being, emotional intelligence, and stress management among several other topics. I do feel more equipped with practical tools and a renewed sense of purpose to support youth in navigating life’s challenges and promoting their well-being. Thank you to the trainers!
