The world is changing - and we are changing with it!

After asking ourselves in 2108: what about us when the world changes, this year we are answering: the world is changing and we are changing with it! And how specifically? This is what we will be doing in a project with this title. In May there will be a meeting for all the volunteers and teachers involved from schools in Bolechów, Pniewy, Szamotuły, Środa Wielkopolska, Turek, Trzcianka and our beloved kindergarten Jedność from Gostyn.

The main objective of the project is to popularise the issues of Global Education, with a focus on the theme of climate action, promoting and building dialogue and critical thinking skills among children and young people in local communities in Wielkopolska, and to support the process of developing their competencies, including the application of knowledge.

Schedule:

May-June and September-November a series of workshops will be held under the banner of “Peace for Climate”, thanks to which young people will learn more about the Sustainable Development Goals and the connection between them and our everyday choices, they will be able to put into practice in their everyday lives.

July-September (although possibly also after the holidays) “Green Options” – Practical classes on different aspects of our life on Earth, as well as Global Education Week.

September – “Wake up!” training for those willing to transfer knowledge to peers at school and undertake engagement activities for children and young people.

20 September – workshops and the Run for Peace.

Third week of November (as every year) – Global Education Week under the slogan “Wake up! Last call for the climate”. – This is when the meetings with Living Books and other activities (e.g.: competitions, city games) planned by young people in cooperation with volunteers will take place.

We will end the project with a summary meeting, during which we will also collect necessary information for the next Global Education projects.

The project is co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
