Learning Lab Facilitator’s Cards

The Facilitator’s Cards are a tool to help facilitators/trainers/educators when planning and implementing an educational activity.
We developed them in the frame of the Learning Lab(oratory) project that we led in SCI Poland between 2021 and 2023.
The Facilitator’s Cards are ready to support you with ideas, checklists, and spaces for notes and reminders so that you remember every aspect of organising a high-quality learning process.
The Facilitator’s Cards cover topics such as adult learning, learning zones, learning cycle, methods, group dynamics, inclusion, group rules, internal and external communication, logistics, creating a supportive learning environment, training preparation list, visual aids and special props, greenifying materials, ongoing and final evaluation, and self-care (physical needs, voice emission, self-motivation, educator’s survival kit for VUCA moments).
On each card you will find:
- a checklist or another short activity to help you prepare for the specific topic;
- a few questions with space for your notes, thoughts, ideas, reminders, and creativity.
And additionally, there are 7 blank cards. We encourage you to use them when in need of more space to answer questions, take more notes and add your own topics.

The printed cards are pocket-sized, so bringing them along wherever you go and whatever educational event you organise is accessible. And one more thing, the cards are magical! You can write on them with whiteboard erasable markers*. When you want to use the cards for your next event, simply wipe out the text with water. They will be ready again for new learning adventures with you. In such a way, you can reuse them many times.
*We recommend Lumocolor non-permanent pens no. 316 and one such pen will be attached to the pack that you receive. You can also use another water-soluble ink marker.
While the Cards are a practical tool that helps you plan and implement a high-quality educational activity, the Supplement (electronic version only) gives you additional, theoretical insights into the card topics, aiming to guide and support you on your educator’s journey.
